Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By using kaia ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. Kaia is operated by Kaia Returns, reachable at kaia@kaiareturns.com.

2. What kaia does

Kaia is a return concierge service. We connect to your Gmail account (read-only) to identify order confirmation emails, calculate return deadlines, and send you reminders via SMS and email before your return windows close. We also assist with initiating returns on your behalf when requested via SMS.

3. Your account

• You must provide accurate information when signing up.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use kaia.
• You may not use kaia for any unlawful purpose.

4. Gmail access

By connecting your Gmail account, you authorize kaia to read your emails in a read-only capacity, solely for the purpose of identifying order confirmations and calculating return deadlines. You may revoke this access at any time from your Google Account permissions page. Revoking access will stop kaia from scanning new emails but will not delete previously stored data.

5. SMS communications

By providing your phone number, you consent to receive SMS messages from kaia related to your return deadlines and account. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any SMS message.

6. Accuracy of information

Kaia makes reasonable efforts to accurately calculate return deadlines based on retailer policies and email data. However, we do not guarantee the accuracy of any deadline or policy information. Always verify return deadlines directly with the retailer before initiating a return. Kaia is not responsible for missed return windows.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, kaia is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including missed return deadlines, failed return attempts, or data inaccuracies. Our total liability to you shall not exceed $100.

8. Termination

You may stop using kaia at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, we will delete your data within 30 days upon request.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of kaia after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify users of material changes via email or SMS.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
